Namdapha National Park

A Jungle of Rarities

Spread over an incredible 1,985 square kilometers, Namdapha National Park is not only the largest protected area in Arunachal Pradesh but also one of the most biodiverse landscapes in India. From snow-clad peaks in the north to tropical evergreen forests in the south, it’s a sanctuary where nature thrives untouched.
Namdapha is one of the few places on Earth where you can find the elusive red panda, the majestic snow leopard, and the mysterious clouded leopard — all in one habitat. The park is also home to tigers, Asiatic black bears, hornbills, and over 500 species of birds.
For trekkers, the experience is nothing short of stepping into a living wilderness. Trails wind through misty valleys, bamboo thickets, and roaring rivers. The Deban region offers some of the most scenic camping spots, with sunrise lighting up the forest in gold.
